Playa Jaco is one of the closest beaches to the Juan Santa Maria airport located in Alajuela; over the years, it has become one of the most visited beaches in the country, mainly for those who want to discover the Costa Rican Pacific.
Although Play Jaco is a small coastal town, this is not synonymous with boredom. On the contrary, there is a lot of nightlife in town, especially during the high season months (Dec – July). To enter any places categorized as adult entertainment, you and your companions must be the legal age, i.e., 18 years old.
This is a list of the 7 best nightlife spots in Jaco Beach
1: Jaco Blu
For me, Jaco Blu is the best place in Jaco Beach to have a good time, drink in front of the sea, and enjoy a good Costa Rican-style party. Unlike other sites, it is striking that Jaco Blu rarely sees fights or unsafe scenarios; I think this is important because it allows you to have a good time in a safe place.
They have a pool in the middle of the place, the bar is entirely in front of the sea, so you will always have the sea breeze refreshing you. The girls are friendly and are constantly doing dance events on stage, all with a good party atmosphere.
The party atmosphere at night, during the day it is a very regular place, where you can go for lunch or have a “Birra” in front of the sea.
2: Republik Lounge CR
A lovely place, it is a Lounge. They recently improved the site; this place is ideal for listening to all kinds of music, although music is the predominant one (at least when I visited them). The location is only open on weekends (Fridays and Saturdays), so it is a place to say goodbye to the week.
3: Orange Pub
This is one of the biggest bars in town; it has a fairly large dance area, the music is varied, they also have a very nice VIP area. They are open every day from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
4: Black Marlin
An excellent place located in the center of town, near Le Loft Club. I categorize Discoteca Black Marlin as a place to dance to Latin music more than a club. There are not many places to sit, so it is ideal if you are a person who likes to dance a lot.
5: Le Loft
Wow, Wow… we arrived at post 5, and here we found Club Le Loft. This is one of the oldest places in Jaco to party, you won’t believe it, but I worked on the construction of the big red building where Le Loft is located; during my college vacations, I was only 17 years old back then, now I am 33.
It’s a medium-sized place, but with a very good atmosphere, it’s one of those places where you go to party hard. Very nice people to have a good time.
6: Clarita’s Beach Bar
Claritas, a bar located on the east side of the beach, is a place that has been in existence for more than 15 years. It is great to have a good time having a beer in front of the sea. Although the place owner is a foreigner, he has maintained a very local atmosphere, the prices are affordable, and the customer service is quite good.
They usually do Karaoke every Thursday, although it is best to check their Facebook page since, due to COVID-19, schedules and activities may have changed.
7: Croc’s Resort & Casino
It is not really a Club, but rather a hotel with a casino. I decided to include it in the list because I think of those people who want to party, but in a quiet place, where they can have a glass of wine, and why not try their luck.
